Ryan Smith

Education/Background:

• BS – Textile Technology, Concentration in Medical Textiles. North Carolina State University (Aug 2011-Dec 2015)
• MS Candidate – Textile Engineering, North Carolina State University (Jan 2016- Dec 2017)

 

Introduction:

I am from Deer Park, TX, which is twenty minutes outside of Houston, TX. I was a member of the Men’s Swimming and Diving team at NC State from 2011-2015, where we became the 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference Champions. My research interests include medical textiles and devices, tissue engineering, biomaterials, biopolymers and alternative skin therapies. Outside of academics, I enjoying staying active, watching TV and traveling.

• Research and Development Intern – ATEX Technologies, Inc. Pinebluff, NC (May 2015-August 2015)
• Teaching Assistant – T101 and TT 380 (2015 Fall Semester)
