World Biomaterials Congress

10th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC) was held in Montreal, Canada from May 17 – 22, 2016. It is one of the largest scientific gathering of biomaterial scientist. More than 4000 participants from over 60 countries participated in the event. There were many keynote speaker presentations, oral presentations, poster presentations and company exhibits from all over the world. Dr. Martin King along with 9 graduate students (Chirag Gajjar, Hui Cong, Ying Guan, Harshini Ramakrishna, Jiyang Chen, Ting He, Tushar Bambharoliya, Xiaoqi Tang, Yu Xie) attended the conference and gave oral/ poster presentations. There were 4 oral presentations and 6 poster presentations in total from the students of BioMedical Textiles group at NC State. The conference was very informative and we had the opportunity to gain knowledge about the latest trends in the field of biomaterials. We also had a chance to meet and interact with many students and professors from various universities and also representatives from various industries.
